AdminToolKit - Admin Menu (Installation Guide)

    What's up guys, i seen a few people needing admin tools for their servers so here we go. (I hope this post is allowed, if the Dev's have a problem with this do tell me.)

    Disclaimer: The Desolation developers DO NOT recommend this type of admin menu (The method it uses because you need to add a bikey, which theoretical gives the creator of this tool complete control over the server), you are using this at your own risk.

    Download AdminToolKit: Here - Documentation: Here
    Download PBO Manager: Here

    1. Download ATK from above
    2. Unzip the file and find @AdminToolkitServer, copy it to your server root
    3. Add @AdminToolkitServer to your command line Example: -serverMod=@DesolationServer;@AdminToolkitServer
    4. Navigate into @AdminToolkitServer > Addons and unpack admintoolkit_servercfg.pbo Using PBO manager
    5. Edit the config file to your needs, admins etc... Then repack the folder into a PBO
    6. Copy admintoolkit.bikey (Located a3-admintoolkit folder) to the "keys" folder in the server root directory
    7. Unpack your mission file (desolation.MAP.pbo) and copy the "atk" folder to the mission folder
    8. open your description.ext and add these lines to the bottom of the file:
      Code:
      class CfgRemoteExec
      {
          class Functions{
              class AdminToolkit_network_receiveRequest { allowedTargets = 2; };
          };
      };
      then repack your missionfile
    9. Put @AdminToolkit into YOUR arma 3 client folder (Example: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3)
    10. Every Time you want to use the admin menu you need to load @AdminToolkit
    11. Enjoy! That should be it, sorry if the instructions are a mess i done this pretty fast.
    Players

    • Setup administrators or moderators with limited access
    • Teleport from/to players and to map position (by using the in-game map - hold ALT key and press LMB)
    • Spectate player using WASD plus Q and E keys improved since version 1.6
    • God Mode
    • Kick/Ban players
    • Global chat messages
    Vehicles

    • Vehicle spawn for yourself or a selected player
    • (Exile Addon) Spawn persistent vehicles with PIN CODE
    Weapons

    • add weapon to inventory
    • add ammo to inventory
    Construction & Others

    • Building persistence supported (since v1.4)
    • Place buildings by using Q, E for rotation, PAGEUP/PAGEDOWN and HOME/END for moving the constructions
    • spawn additional "vehicle items" like Backpacks, GPS, Binocular, etc... (located in Other)
    Extension support

    • allows you to extend and overwrite features with your own extension file(s)

    I would prefer you explain how to change this Toolkit to work as Plugin for DesolationRedux instead of hacking it in via description.ext. Because exactly these situations are what we want to prevent with our Plugin system!

    I actually never seen this, i will see what i can do. Edit: I think it's beyond my ability to do so. I'm going to stick with this as it works.

    not if he descriptes what needs to be changed! i did not say he should release an ready to use package, but an tutorial like: on copy these files there, add these lines there, create this file with this content ...

    or something like a frame, where people need to copy and paste the files of the original menu into.

    so basically the same a lot of linux drivers work, people wrote wrappers that are able to call the firmware files of the windows drivers. most linux drivers don't implement the driver itself, just the basic api and calls to communicate device, but whats needs to be communicated is generated via an binary file take from the windows drivers.

    Just had a hacker on my server, not sure if he got his own hack or hacked this admin tool

    There has been hackers on 90% of the Desolation servers, it's because there are no BE Filters, i doubt it was using this tool.
    Anyway @DjIch1 i swear it was your forum post on InfiStar's Forum asking about Desolation, how'd that go?

    I guess you could say that, i don't know much about battleye or how it works.

    You could write your own filters until we release a set.

    jea you are probably right, im just used to infistar...
    If anybody got working BE Filters for Desolation and would be so kind to share them let us know

    do you know how you save stuff you spawn like buildings ect

    as far as i know it's not possible to save that, you need to set this in you mission file/map config to be persistent
